escape的意思是逃跑、溜走，有點像前一個表達用了slip（滑走），也是比喻一件事從你腦子里溜走了。

這個用法，很像“Nothing is coming to mind”的用法。

我想不起來（某個事）。

突出明明知道，但不知怎么，那一刻就是想不起來，可以把具體忘記的事情套用進來。

I blanked on her name when I ran into her.

我碰到她的時候怎么也記不起她的名字。

I spaced out: 我開小差了。

space out更多是說腦子開小差、魂游向外，沒注意到要記住的事，所以忘記了。
